Q:Are worms included?
A: Yes. Worms may be included in the purchase of a Worm Factory®. However, due to the issue of viability, we hold shipment of your worms until the week following the shipment of your Worm Factory® unless you request otherwise. This allows you time to set up your Worm Factory® and be ready for your worms to arrive. Worms must reach you in good condition and alive. We guarantee live delivery to the lower 48 states. All worm shipments go out on Mondays. This is to ensure they reach you and are not held over the weekend. We also ship worms to Canada. However, we cannot guarantee live delivery because once they reach the border, it is possible for them to be held in customs. This is rare and we have only lost one shipment so far. We cannot ship worms to AK, HI, or overseas. Worms are sensitive to extreme heat and cold. Therefore, we usually mark packages to be held at the Post Office for customer pickup unless you notify us someone is normally home during the day to take delivery or they are being delivered to a business, school, or university.
Q: Is there a specific type or worms you should use?
A: Yes, Red wigglers AKA-redworms, tiger worms, and branding worms, are all common names for the Eisenia fetida worm which are the most common used in vermiculture(worm composting).
